Richard Kang, M.D.
Richard Kang, M.D., A native of Baltimore,
Maryland, Dr. Kang joined Peninsula Orothopaedic Associates in 2001. He
graduated magna cum laude with high honors in biology from Darmouth College in
1989. He received his M.D. in 1993 from Yale University School of Medicine
where he was elected into the AOA Medical Honor Society. He completed his
general surgery internship and his orthopaedic surgery residency at the
University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he also spent two years performing
basic science and clinical research on the orthopaedic applications of gene
therapy as well as one year as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of
Orthopaedic Surgery. He then completed a one year fellowship in hand,
upper extremity, and microvascular surgery with The Hand Surgery Specialists in
Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Kang is a Candidate Member of American Society for
Surgery of the Hand and a Board Eligible Orthopaedic Surgeon who limits his
practice to orthopaedic surgery with emphasis on hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery.
