Peninsula Orthopaedic Associates was founded in 1952 by the late Dr.Frank Poole, as the first orthopaedic practice on the Eastern Shore in Salisbury. Today our practice consists of nine orthopaedic surgeons, one certified registered nurse practitioner, two physician assistants, x-ray technologists, and an office staff who look forward to assist in meeting the needs of our patients. Our practice offers the latest discoveries in orthopaedics and a wide range of services providing the best and most efficient care.

We have three office sites, one located at 111 Davis Street in Salisbury, one located in the Beaver Run Park also in Salisbury, and one located at 314 Franklin Avenue in Berlin. Our offices are equipped with exam rooms as well as casting and x-ray rooms.

Orthopaedics is the treatment of disorders and injuries of the bones, muscles, and joints. We are able to treat a great variety of problems including, but not limited to fractures, sports medicine injuries, total joint replacements, arthroscopic surgery, foot and ankle surgery, and the management of spine problems, including operative and nonoperative care.

We participate with many insurance companies for submission and payment of medical expenses. In instances of self pay we accept check and cash payments as well as Mastercard and Visa. Our patient accounts representatives are happy to assist with submission of claims and reimbursement issues.

Our doctors are on staff at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland where we provide both inpatient and outpatient surgery, as well as Emergency Room treatment.
